By chat, voice or video. Private, anonymous, and billed by the minute — no appointment, no intake form.

Real people. Real conversations.
Sometimes, you don't need advice.
You just need someone there.
What Ampathe is, who is here tonight, and — just as plainly — what it is not.
Not therapy, not dating. A trained human who will listen for as long as you want, billed by the minute.
Not therapy. Not dating. Not a crisis line.
Companions are trained to listen and to know where listening stops. Saying so plainly is more useful than a promise we cannot keep.
Verified, trained, and paid for every minute you spend listening.

The Ampathe difference
We match you with companions who listen without fixing, judge without diagnosing, and stay with you through difficult days — so you feel seen and heard, not processed.
Conversations stay between you and your companion.
Use a display name. Share only what you choose.
Every companion is verified before they can talk.
Become a companion
If people already come to you when things get heavy, this is work you can do. You don’t need a degree or a certificate — warmth, patience and clear boundaries are the qualifications, and we train everyone we bring on.
This is companionship and peer support — not therapy, counselling, or dating. Companions listen and stay; they never diagnose or give clinical advice.
You can raise a concern to our team mid-session, and you can end any conversation yourself, at any point and without explaining why.
You choose when you’re available. There are no minimum hours.
ID and background check, boundaries training, and a short interview.
Your legal name is collected only to verify you. Seekers only ever see the display name you choose.
Ampathe connects you with verified, trained human companions for one-to-one conversations by chat, voice or video. You talk for as long as you want, about whatever you want, and you pay by the minute from a prepaid wallet. It is companionship and peer support — someone to talk to when you feel lonely — not therapy and not a dating service.
No. Companions are trained to listen well, hold a conversation and hold a boundary. They do not diagnose, treat, counsel or give medical advice, and Ampathe is not a substitute for therapy or any other clinical care. If what you need is clinical, a companion is meant to say so and point you toward it.
No. Every account starts with a generated display name like Quiet Fox, and you are never asked to replace it. We ask once, skippably, and a real name is never required to use Ampathe. Your companion sees the display name you chose and nothing else about your identity.
You pay by the minute from a prepaid wallet, and each companion sets their own rate. Most companions charge ₹10 a minute for chat, ₹15 for voice and ₹20 for video, and a few charge less. The exact rate is shown on the companion profile and again before a conversation starts, time is billed down to the second, and the wallet cannot go negative.
Ampathe is not a crisis service and companions are not crisis responders. If you are thinking about harming yourself or someone is in immediate danger, call a crisis line instead — Tele-MANAS on 14416 is free, staffed around the clock in about 20 Indian languages, and needs no account. KIRAN on 1800-599-0019 is another, and 112 reaches emergency services anywhere in India.
They are trained peer-support companions — ordinary people who are good at listening and have been trained to do it well. Four gates stand between an application and a profile anyone can see: identity verification against a government ID, a background check, training in active listening and boundaries, and an interview with our team. All four must be approved. A companion who has cleared three of them is not visible to anyone and cannot take a conversation.
